2012. Project life Week 28
Week 28, July 09~July 15,2012.
Thus week, we went up to Santa Cruz with our new friend and her two girls who are visiting US from Taiwan this summer. During summer, every Mondays & Tuesdays, Santa Cruz offers 1 $ Hot dog and drink. They also give you a lot of different coupons with different deals on the boardwalk. The weather was lovely, but it does get breezy after sunset. We still had a great time together.
The photo above with me and the dog makes me smile whenever I see it. She looked reluctantly to take this photo with me or I made her to pose with me. She is indeed a sweet heart to me. Super cute. lol

2012. Project life Week 27
Now, I am sharing my Project Life Week 27 layouts. It's still so hard to believe that it's already July.
After July, it's my favorite portion of the year. Because after summer, will soon be fall. During fall and winter, there are full of many festivities. They all make me happy. Best of all, my birthday is in September, so after that the celebrations just never end. Super fun. Plus, I can't wait to play with those fall/winter collections from Basic Grey, Simple Stories, Pink Paislee, Studio Calico, My MInd's Eye...etc. Seriously fun stuff.

2012.Project life Week 25 & 26
Week 26
My project life is currently up to date, even thought I am only posting Week 25 &26. In retrospect, I am greateful that I decided to document my project life the end of last year and stick with it this far. My project life is not only the way I am documenting my life, but it's also a way to talk to my self. The inner self. During this process, I am saying goodbye to the old self and live in the moment. A lot of time, I enjoy to look through my album and realized why I felt the way I felt before for certain things.
Thanks to Becky Higgins, who invented this easy and fun method to document your life an celebrate who you are.

2012.Life is good with you aroend layout
I created this layout to participated a Sketch challenge that goes on once a month in a Facebook club.
I used Studio Calico's June main kit SO Cal, and some pattern paper that can be found here.
For my layout, I also tried a new technique to use stamps to finish your journaling that I learned at Studio Calico's Summer Stamp School. Super fun.
Also, I took all my markers out to color on the cheveron stamp. Now, are you feeling crafty?

2012.Washi flower with pleating

2012.Washi flower/用紙膠帶摺出一朵花
We just finished our Washi workshop at Studio Calico last week. So sad. :( I learned so much different ideas to play with my washi tapes and my fellow classmates never disappointed me with their own inspirations. Wish we can do that class longer. And today I'd love to show you the pleating I learned from this class. Hope you will like it.
1. First, pick a couple rolls of washi tapes
2. Use a circle punch to create a circle that it's easier to work with later
3. Fold a strip of washi tape over, partialy over itself and then repeat it until cover the outer circle
4. Use another roll of washi tapes to repeat the pleating until fully cover the circle
5. Use any rhinstones or pearls to docorate the washi flower
Hope you enjoy and have fun creating this cutie.
My favorite place for Washi tapes is Freckled Fawn
