2012. My very first published project. Hooray!!

I just finish 3 weeks of trip to Asia. And when I got back last Wednesday. Guess what I found in my stash of mails. The Cards magazine, November 2012 issue. WooHoo!!

I've been waiting for this magazine to show up, but when I see it myself, I still found very hard to believe that my project actually did appear on the magazine.

That was the first time when I tried to submit anything to anybody. I still remember how much I love the stamp I got from a Studio Calico kit. So I have to use it on my card. But I am very lucky to be picked from them. I actually have 2 more projects line up with them to be published, and I can't wait to see them to come out. :)

2012. Super busy lately...

 Look at these two.
 I love you, doggie.
@ CKU

I can't believe it's the middle of September already???? Where did all that time go?
But I know there's a lot going on in my world in the month of September.
At the beginning of the month,  Lily and I were at the CKU, San Jose. Super fun event.
Not only we finished a lot of projects, etc, mini album and layouts. And we got a lot prizes and goodies during this fun weekend.
Also we get to meet a lot fun and famous people in the scrapping world. This group of instructors are like a dream team, Mou Saha, Nichol Harper, Laura Vegas, Vicki Boutin and Jen Gallengher to name a few.
Then I just celebrated my 36 years old birthday. Wow, I am turning 36 this year ALREADY. Super excited about the new year and also very nervous.

Then I am sharing the layouts I did with Gossamer blus's September kit. Super fun kit. Do I have to say more? I am in love with the idea to subscriber the monthly scrapbooking kit.

They always have the most  trendy and up to date paper and embellishments. Super easy and fun to work with, and yet they can look totally different when other people showing their projects. I love to incorporate the kit with my own stash of goodies. Even more fun.

And I also have a good news to share. I got an email last week from Northridge Publishing that they request one of my layout to be published in the February issue of Scrapbooking Trend. I am super happy and excited. This is my third projects with them in the different book. Hooray!!

2012. Winnie the Pooh with Basic Grey What's up collection

Here is the layout using What's up collection from Basic Grey. This is such a beautiful collection. And those banners are so trendy and popular right now, I can't resist from them.
But I am freaking out whenever I have to cut a piece from each paper in the collection. SO I decide to use the catalog page that they include in the packet to make some cute banners.

This is the page I mentioned:

Cut those  papers according to their shape.

Make banners and sew them onto page.

2012. Two layouts using Gossamer Blue kit

These two layouts are create using Gossamer Blue's FIRST kit. They were formed by Lori Gentile. I had to admit I fell in love the color palette when I first saw them at Amy Heller's blog. The vibrant , warm and inviting colors are telling me to play with them. And I have to tell you I have so much fun creating with them since I got them in the mail.
And today, I am so honored that one of the layout I created is featured on their blog with other talented people I admired.
If you are the kid of scrapbooker who love to play with all sorts of different colors, paper and other goodies. Consider to try this brand new kit club. And express your creativity to other people.

Have fun.

2012. Project life Week 30

Project Life Week 30 July 23~July 29. Times did fly  by so fast. As I am sharing my week 30th, it's actually week 32 in real life. Where did the time go?

During week 30, I invited my friend and her two girls who are visiting from Taiwan this summer to attend Berkeley's Kite Fest. It was a pretty fun experience, as I lived in the South Bay for almost 12 years now, and this is my very first time to make it to Berkeley for this event. lol
And later that evening, we took the Bart to the city for an delightful evening. We went o pier 39 for a nice lunch, Clam chowder in the bread bowl, of course. And we also took my favorite cable car. It was a fun day with a lot of chats and laughs. I am going to miss those two funny girls when they go home.

2012. Project life Week 29

7/16/2012 to 7/22/2012 Project life Week 29

I love to do project life and in fact, this is my very first time to try this concept. And I am more than happy that I am sticking with it. This is such an easy and fun way to capture every moments and details in your life. Often times, we are very busy. Busy with family, school, work and maybe kids, if we let those details go away before we realized, it such a waste.
Right now, I am planning ahead for my 2013 project. And I am going to use the Sa@p from Simple Stories as my base foundation.

Check them out:
Aren't they to create with? I can't wait to get my own and start play with them. lol
